Douglas Wotherspoon

Douglas was called to the Bar in 2020 following completion of the BPTC and his law degree.

During the BPTC Douglas placed first in his cohort for advanced criminal litigation and ranked in the top 1% for all advocacy modules. Douglas was awarded a first-class law degree from the University of Manchester.

Douglas has since gained experience at a leading criminal litigation practice known for representing high net worth and high-profile individuals, specialising in serious and general crime, and fraud and financial crime. He has also volunteered at the North Kensington Law Centre, working with the crime team and assisting clients at all stages of police investigation and court proceedings.

Previously, Douglas was a professional musician touring internationally and was signed to a major record label. In his spare time Douglas still enjoys writing and recording music and has a keen interest in vintage guitars.
