John Asaad

Introduction

John is currently a first six pupil working primarily in the fields of financial crime and serious sexual and violent offences, under the supervision of Max Hardy.

Background and expertise

Prior to commencing pupillage, John worked as an advocate for the Free Representation Unit and the Communities Empowerment Network.  He also acted as an Appropriate Adult for Southwark Council, assisting vulnerable detainees at Central London police stations.  Furthermore, John is an accredited civil-commercial mediator with ADR-ODR International.

John undertook his LLB at LSE and BPTC at BPP, attaining an outstanding grade in the advanced criminal law module.  During the BPTC, John was involved in several moots, most notably reaching the finals of Middle Temple’s Rosamund-Smith Mooting Tournament, and was selected to travel to the USA to moot in the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
