Martin Secrett

Chambers Director

With thirty five years' of clerking experience, including a number of years as Senior Clerk in a leading set of criminal chambers, Martin Secrett was appointed Chambers Director in July 2013.

His experience in business strategy, practice development and operational clerking, along with management and leadership skills gained from 20 years of holding senior positions within chambers and the Territorial Army, benefit Chambers as it continually adapts to the changing marketplace.

Martin is acknowledged by the legal directories for delivering a high standard of client service. He is an elected member of the Management and Executive Committees of the Institute of Barristers' Clerks and currently in the Vice-Chair and Criminal Secretary. He also sits on a number of Bar Council committees.

Martin is a freeman of the City of London and a member of the Company of Pikemen and Musketeers of the Honourable Artillery Company - who are a royal warranted ceremonial body for the Lord Mayor of the City of London, having served in the active unit for 20 years. He is also a keen cricketer (both playing and watching) enjoys cycling and the occasional round of golf.
