Diana Wilson successfully prosecutes a man charged with conspiring to supply 47.5kg of cocaine

05 March 2020

Diana Wilson successfully prosecuted a man charged with conspiring to supply 47.5kg of cocaine in 2013 which, in 2013, had an approximate street value of £10 million.  The defendant was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.

The co-defendants were tried in 2013 when three were convicted of the conspiracy.  This defendant was not tried in 2013 as he had absconded whilst on bail and had to be extradited back to the UK.

Diana was instructed by CPS Specialist casework.  The judge when passing sentence commented that this case shows that eventually the law will catch up with you and that had the defendant faced trial in 2013 he would have in all likelihood been released by now.
