Introduction

Will prosecutes and defends.

Will’s recent instructions include murder, manslaughter and other serious violence, rape and sexual assault, child abuse, kidnappings, large-scale drug cases, firearms, fraud and conspiracy to defraud, deception & proceeds of crime proceedings.

Will is on the list of approved counsel to undertake Police Federation work and has defended police officers from the Hertfordshire Constabulary in a range of cases, from allegations of dangerous driving during police pursuits to allegations of assault.

Cycling, cricket, rugby and football. Hel is also a keen landscape photographer and has had many of his pictures exhibited.

Notable cases

R. v. Uddin and others (2012) - Successfully prosecuted a 12 handed sham marriage trial on behalf of the UK Borders Agency. The case involved a series of conspiracies to secure unlawful entry into the UK by Bangladeshi nationals who then sought to legitimise their presence in the UK by entering into sham marriages with EU nationals.

R. v. Pilipow (2010) – murder within the Polish Community in Stevenage, in which the victim was beaten to death by two known associates.

R. v. Johnson (2010) - defended in what the prosecution asserted was a gun-point execution following a failed robbery and drugs deal.

R. v. M’Rabet (2009) - Defending in 3 month conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to cause GBH trial involving an alleged gang in south London who indiscriminately robbed and seriously assaulted 56 people over a 5 month period.

R. v. Ghafoor (2007) - Defending in a 4 month murder and violent disorder trial involving gang violence between two rival Asian factions in Luton’s Bury Park area.
