A recommended criminal silk in Chambers & Partners “UK Guide to the Legal Profession” (2003-present), undertaking both publicly funded and privately paid work.

In addition to the regular work of a criminal silk, cases of particular interest include defending a soldier accused of murdering a young civilian in Iraq (one of a number of Courts Martial), a police officer accused of raping a victim of assault, whilst on duty, and representing a member of the Bar accused of internet paedophilia and "upskirting".

Has represented and advised film and music personalities, national media, politicians, a Formula One team principal, a Formula One World Champion and premiership footballers.  Also advises in high profile civil proceedings.

He is licensed to receive direct instruction from members of the public.

2007
Snaresbrook Crown Court, R v Anton Ferdinand: West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand was cleared of assault charges. He admitted striking the first blow on a man he had observed eying up his £64,000 watch outside an Essex nightclub. He believed the man was planning to mug him. Ferdinand further told the court he joined in the violence in lawful defence of another.

2008
Leeds Crown Court, R v Phullan Bibi:
three members of one family jailed for failing to prevent a husband from murdering his wife in their home. Sabia Rani, 19, was beaten to death over several weeks by her husband Shazad Khan, in Leeds, West Yorkshire. He was jailed for life in January 2007. Khan's mother Phullan Bibi, 52, was jailed for three years at Leeds Crown Court.

Kingston-Upon Thames Crown Court, R v Qadir Hussain: The Defendant, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, was acquitted of importing and distributing large quantities of prescription drugs, including Viagra and other impotence treatments.


2009
Southwark Crown Court, R v Sami Asghar-Sheikh
: The Defendants were convicted of what was said to be the largest ever DVD counterfeiting operation in this country, including not only burning copies of films, but also importing and operating professional polycarbonate pressing machinery in order to provide the highest quality copies.

Woolwich Crown Court, R v Adam Osman Khatib: This Defendant was described by the Trial Judge as the lieutenant of the principal organizer in the UK of the failed 2006 Heathrow airline bomb plot.
