Leeds Crown Court, R v Phullan Bibi: three members of one family jailed for failing to prevent a husband from murdering his wife in their home. Sabia Rani, 19, was beaten to death over several weeks by her husband Shazad Khan, in Leeds, West Yorkshire. He was jailed for life in January 2007. Khan's mother Phullan Bibi, 52, was jailed for three years at Leeds Crown Court. Kingston-Upon Thames Crown Court, R v Qadir Hussain: The Defendant, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, was acquitted of importing and distributing large quantities of prescription drugs, including Viagra and other impotence treatments.
