With Thirty years' of clerking experience, including a number of years as Senior Clerk in a leading set of Criminal Chambers, Martin Secrett has been appointed as Chambers Director. His experience in business strategy, practice development and operational clerking along with management and leaderships skills gained from 20 years of holding senior positions within Chambers and the Territoral Army, will support Chambers to continue to adapt in the changing marketplace.
Martin is acknowledged by the Legal Directories for delivering a high standard of client service. He is an elected member of the Management Committee of the Institute of Barristers Clerk and sits on a number of Bar Council committees.
Having resigned from the active unit of the Honourable Artillery Company as a Warrant Officer, he was invited to join the Company of Pikemen and Musketeers who are a royal warranted ceremonial body in the City of London. He is also a keen cricketer (both playing and watching) and enjoys cycling, dancing and the occasional round of golf.

Michael Cross joined Chambers in October 2014 from 4 Breams Buildings. He has clerked in criminal and common law sets for 14 years. His interests include open water swimming (he has swum the English Channel 4 times) and rugby.

Trevor has been with Nine Bedford Row since 2001 although he has been a Clerk since leaving school. He is a regular tennis player, keen motorcyclist and still plays football every week (has been known to drink the odd glass of Rioja to aid recovery from injury!).

Julian joined 9 Bedford Row in September 2007, having run the Criminal Bar Association and other Specialist Bar Associations for 12 years. Julian's responsibilities include Chambers IT and website, accounts, marketing and premises. He is a member of the LPMA.
His interests include racing sailing boats (RS200), long-distance running and messing around with car engines. He is Commodore of Wembley Sailing Club.
